GNK Associates was founded by Gilbert Kahn, Professor of Political Science at Kean University in Union, NJ.  Professor Kahn’s academic work deals with executive-legislative relations in the U.S. with an emphasis on foreign policy in Europe and the Middle East. His specific interests include the politics and effectiveness of presidential decision making and leadership in both the domestic and foreign policy arenas.

For many years he was the head of a public policy consulting firm which worked with political candidates on campaigns at all levels, local, state, and national. Its primary focus was on matters related to U.S. relations with Israel.

He began writing a bi-weekly column in the New Jersey Jewish News in 2005.  Since 2011 he has written a blog, KAHNTENTIONS. also hosted by the NJJN. His writing presents an open and intellectually honest analysis of issues facing the United States, Israel, as well as Jews world-wide.
